Another Crisis in the Transvaal

(Per Press Association) London, March 27. The Times says President Kruger and Steyn, President of the Orange Free State, have entered into an offensive and defensive alliance. Troops are arming, and they have been promised support of the Africander Bund. The Boers are greatly excited owing to Dr Leyd's use of the secret service fund. Considering the feeling of sympathy aroused in Holland and Germany, many Dutch and Germans are entering the Transvaal to give help.
