♦ . (Per Press Association). Hawera, This Day. Maggie Brown, between 19 and 20 years of age, a waitress at the Eoyal Hotel, died from an overdose of laudanum this morning. It is expected that the inquest will bring ont evidence proving deliberate suicide. The deceased arrived a few weeks ago from Wellington.
