Feilding Football Club.
The following is a presis of the report to be submitted to the annual meeting of members of the Feilding Football Club to be held in the Volunteer Kail at 7 p.m. tomorrow evening : — The senior team won the championship of the Manawatu Union, and the junior team was third for the junior honor. The senior team was always well represented in representation teams, and the club captain, Mr W. {Shannon, captained the rep. team throughout the season. At the instance of this Club's delegates, the Rugby Union took steps to form a Referees Association, practical effect being given to the idea. Reference was made to the protests which affected this club, and dealt with by the Union, being decided in most cases in favour of this club. During the season the club had lost two prominent players, namely. J. W. F. Halcotne and A. L. Parr, both of whom had gone to America. A matter of importance to the club was that of a new ground. With his usual kindness Mr F. Lethbridge offered a sufficiently large and well situated piece of his ground for playing op and further supplemented the offer by offering to plough the land sow the seed and supply the pipes, providing the club fenced the ground, found the seed and labor for putting in the pipes. This offer was accepted and lists are now out for raisinp the necessary funds. The senior players are desirous of having a trip at the commencement of the season, and one has practically been arranged. The clubs to be played being Wellington, Greytowu and Red Stars (Masterton). Detailed arrangements in the matter of picking the team only remain to be completed. In couclusiou, Mr Carty (the secretary and treasurer) desired to thank members for their unanimous support and assisttauce. The balance sheet showed the receipts for the year to be i'Bl 16s Id, and the expenditure j5"29 8s lid, leaving a credit balance in hand of i' 2 7s ' 2d. The principal source of revenue was from subscriptions £14 9s, and £10 9s 3s receipts at gates. .
