Additions are made to-day to the entries for Messrs Abraham and 'Williams' Palmerston sale. Mr C. S. Potts, of Apiti, has sold his section to Mr F. Bismarck. Mr D. Henderson, butcher, Manchester street, is a buyer of thyme, sage and marjoram in any quantity. During the operations in deepening and widening the entrance to Calais harbour, a case of bullets of a very peculiar pattern was discovered near the spot where the remains of an ancient man -of - war were discovered some days ago. The vessel had apparently been embedded at this spot for several centuries, as it lay far up the entrance to the harbor, and quite on the coast line. It is suggested the* vessel may be one of the ships of the Spanish Armada, which was driven ashore and wrecked on that coast. There is to be a loan collection of English furniture and figured silks of the 17th century at the Bethnal-green Museum. There is said to be a revival of figured silks which formerly gaye employment to 60,000 weavers in East London. The sale is booming at the Bon Marche Last week the iarge establishment was thronged daily with visitors from all parts of the district.
