♦ ! A concett ia aid of the funds of the Birmingham Crieke£Cl#b will take place on Monday evening, 28rd February, further particulars of which will appear in these columns. A match was played at Birmingham yesterday between teams representing Birmingham and Peep-o'-Day, resulting in a win for Peep o'- Day by B on the first innings. Johnston played a fine innings for Bimitegliam of 34, a#d also bowled very well. The match was a very enjoyable one, being the annual day's outing of the cricketers and their friends of the district. Tbe ladies were very much in evidence, and their presence and hospitality combined ensured a most pleasant time to all who attended. In the evening a dance was held in the Town Hall, wuich was kept up till midnight, when " AuldLang Syne "brought to a close one of the most sociable gatherings of the year.
