RAIL WAY RETURNS.

As we said would be the case wool for the above period has made up for the deficiency on the preceding month 4467 tons having been carried as against 3164 tons for the period in 1895. Timber shows an increase of 450 tons and merchandise an increase of 300 tons. The total railway revenue for the colony was to date L 859,394 11s as against L 849.769 14s 7d in 1895.
