Wanganui Education Board.
Q MI 1 — | The monthly meeting of the above Board was held at Wanganui yesterday. Present — Messrs Carson (chairman), Sanson, Rois, Fry, F. Pirani and Hurley. Halcombe— Miss Spurdle was appointed assistant. Ohingaiti— Olive Aldridge to be transferred instead of Denis Crawley resigned. Hunterville— Mary Staffan appointed junior assistant and tc be promoted to assistant with approval of the committee if the attendance keeps up. Mangaweka — Sewing mistress not appointed by the Board. Physical instructor De Mey's resignation accepted. Wanganui— Messrs Sanson, Fry and Pirani were appointed a sub-committee to consider the application for male assist* ant to the Boys' School and tbe staffing of the school, for to-morrow's meeting. Palmerston — Miss Cherrett to be placed on the list of applicants if willing. Colyton— Rebecca Mitchell was ap< pointed cadet. Manaia — Maud Mason's resignation was accepted and three names to be sent for selection. Palinerston — Florence Standen to be appointed pupil teacher when there is a vacancy. Wanganui Infants. — Miss Hicks to be promoted from Birmingham as junior assistant, — Standard.
