A cup match was played between the above clubs on the Feilding Cricket Grouad on Saturday last, and resulted in a win for the Carnarvon team by three wickets. Both teams played with ten men. (Per Press Association,) Adelaide, February 8. In the cricket match Adelaide Club v. Norwood, the former lost six wickets for 472— Geo Giffen 125, Darling 120. Melbourne, February 9. The cricket match, Oarlton y. University, was concluded to-day. The former's first innings closed for 924, which is the Australian record— Worrall, not out, 415. In the match East Melbourne v. Richmond, the former's first innings cloßed for 876— Vautin 274, Macalister 186, Lewis 156. Melbourne against St. Kilda, the former in their first innings made 683 — Trumble 16.3, C. McLeod 126, Roche 109. At a meeting of the Cricket Council, after a lengthy discussion on the individual merits of the' members of the team chosen by the Selection Committee, the names selected by the latter were adopted j also, a suggestion to Appoint a fourteenth man.
