There was a tremendous outburst o expressions of loyalty in the Dominioi House of Commons on the adoption o the resolution against the assertion bj the Americans that Canada was onl; waiting an opportunity to join the Unitei States. Mr McNeil the mover of tbi resolution, said he gloried in the sblendic composure and reliance of England, anc he wished the Australians to know tha Canada had its heart, and hand with th< British as one people. Washington. February 8. Mr Olney, Secretary of State, has ap pointedly adyised the Venezuelan Gov ernment to resume relations with Greal Britain for reparation over the disagree able occurrence which took place in Jan nary, 1895, when the Venezuelans ar rested the police at the small post situ ated near the confluence of the riven .
