Messrs F. R. Jackson and Co's Ram Fair.
v (Per Preps Association). Wanganui, February G. The second day of Messrs Freeman R. Jackson and Co's ram fair was marked by spiritednes?, and those who waited for bargains found they had to pay much higher prices. This was principally the case with J. S. Holmes rams which averaged £2 3s 9d better tban the previous day. W. Wilson made 15s better and o.ml other good breeders in proportion. Twenty-nine guineas was the highest price obtained for a flock ram of W. Wilson's. The medium rams were, however, one quarter guinea cheaper, and dropped perhaps toward the end of the s»le. Much business was done after the sale with rams that had been passed m, brreeders readily meeting the buyers. 1300 Lincoln rams were all sold, ond altogether it was a most successful sale, and a marked improvement over last years The perfect arrangement and the management of the sale was unanimously ackacknowledged. ___
