The Stock Market

Messrs Abraham and Williams report : — There wae a very large attendance at the Horse Emporium on Saturday and the bidding was unusually spirited. A mob of 136 unbroken horses from a native run at Porangahau made up the entry on Saturday. These were without reserves and cold on account of the Maori owners. The horses had no condition and many were to the light side, the ages rnnning from one to 3-year-olds. A portion were fairly shaped animals which feed and conditiou would doubtless develop into useful beasts. Prices ranged from 10s to £3 10s, averaging close upon £2 right through. .
