Terrible Floods in Queensland.

FURTHER LOSS OF LIFE. (Per Press Association.) Towns ville Feb. 1. The weather has moderated- The flood water ls falling. During the clyclone the wind blew over 100 miles an hour. The face of the country is completely changed ; trees are uprooted in all directions, and thousands of tons of sand have been carried over the pasture lands. By the floods at Ross Islgnd on Monday six lives were lost through the capsizing of a boat engaged in rescue work. Latest reports from Rockhampton, state that tbe Dawson and Comet rivers are in high flood. Thirty-three miles of the Claremont railway on the Central Line are under water.
