(Per Press Association.) Sydney, January 31. The Political and Labor Conference has decided to rnn ten of its members as candidates for the coming Federal Convention. The Conference passed a resolution demanding the total abolition of the Government Labour Bnreau or formation of branches in the country so as to regularly supply the labour market and prevent the "transference of the surplus population into the already crowded centres. The Minister of Public Works took the opportunity, wnen he received the deputation from the conference, to deny a number of sweeping statements made at the conference with reference to the effect of the minimum wage on Government contracts.
