Harry took 4 wickets for 52, Lavev 1 for 16, R. McLeod 1 for 22, A. Trott 1 for 41, H. Trott 1 for 42, Trumble 1 for 74. Victoria made the number of runs required to win the match for the loss of 6 wickets. Bruce 11, C. McLeod 50, H. Trott 27, Graham 15, A. Trott 24, Donnhoo 2, Layer (not out) 88, Harry (not out) 89. Sundries 1. Total for G wickets, 207. McKibbin took 3 wickets for S5, Turner 2 for 54, Richardson 1 for 84. Walters played a fine innings and gave only one chance. C. McLeod showed brilliant cricket while Harry and Layer were well set when the game ended. Melbourne, This Day. The Cricket Council meets in Melbourne on February Bth to receive the report of the Committee selected to chose the Australian Cricket team. It is believed that the delegates from all the colonies have grievances over the exclusion of certain players, and it is not improbable a resolution will be carried referring the report back to the committee for reconsideration.
Whilst playing in a cricket match at Muscle Creek (N.S.W.) a man named Lees was struck with a ball. He was batting at the time, and the ball struck him in the region of the heart. He went on playing, bat before the next ball was delivered he dropped dead.
