Wanganui Education Board.
Regarding the Wanganni Education Board election, the Herald concludes an article as follows :- That new blood is badly wanted on tho Board is the general opinion, but the Committees are too jealous of each other to use their power successfully towards so desirable an object. The country districts mistrust tbe towns, and the north the south, with the result that the same members aro returned continually, and the Board, as we remarked before, looked upon as a snag little family party. To break this party up should be the primary object of i.he committees all over the Wanganui Education district, and to replace the bulk of the present members by new men of more liberal and equitable views. Indeed, iho bo.si thing the commuters could do would be to form an association, the delegates of which could meet and decide upon the claims of all candidates for Board honors. 13.y this means tbe committees could exercise their legitimate powers, and securo true representation on the Board, a thing they will never do so long as they are disunited and jealous of each other.
