France to Annex the New Hebrides

0 — -- (Per Press Association.) Paris, January 24. Esbaffe and Faverosville, members of the French Colonial Party, have requested President Faure to take over the New Hebrides, and join the Island with New Caledonia under one Government, thus excluding Australia. The Journal de Paris says thst in the event of Faure consenting to become patron and protector of Islanders it will be a guarantee for the establishing of French influence in the Islands on a solid basis.
