Lawn Tennis.
v The match usually played on the 22nd of January each year between the Wanga nui and Feilding Clubs took place at Wanganui yesterday. The latter club was represented by Messrs Barton, Brabant, Coote, and Lance, while the local club was represented by Messrs Thomson, Meldrum, Marshall, and Barnicoat. The visitors, notwithstanding their defeat, did fairly well considering the bad weather, and the games were all close. The players were hospitably treated by the Wanganui Club, the ladies providing afternoon tea. Following are the scores : — Singles. Wanganui. Feilding.
