Feilding Cycling Club Sports.
Nominations were received last ovening for the Feilding Cycling Club's second annual race meeting to be held on Wednesday, January 22nd, on the Oval. The total number received is 147 as against 105 last year and All 7s has been received in nomination fees as compared with £11 4s for nominations and acceptance fees last year. Up to the present there is every prospect that this meeting will be an unqualified success, given fine weather on the day selected for holding these popular sports. Amongst the nominations are those of riders from Cbristchurch, Hawkes Bay and Taranaki in addition to several from Marton and Palmerston. Mr J. Barker (of Christchurch) who was so successful at these sports last year will again compete and a contest between him and F. Hunt (of Marton) will be anxiously looked forward to, while several local riders will endeavor to create a reputation for the Feilding Club. Following are the nominations : — One Mile Maiden.
