Labour Troubles.
(Per Preßs Association.) Sydney, December 30. The meeting of municipal representatives and colliery proprietors in Newcastle, to arrange a plan for improving the condition of the coal trade, proved abortive. The two leading colleries declined to take part in it, expressing the opinion that nothing was more certain than that the foreign trade was only retained by the low price of coal during the past two years. They could see no prospect to return to even 9s per ton.
