The above meeting was held on the Palmerston racecourse yesterday, and passed off successfully. The sum of £'1216 was passed through the machine. Results : — Maiden Trot Handicap (saddle) ; 2 miles — Captain 1, Makirikiri 2, Miss Cant 3. Won easily all the way. Dividend, ill 14s. Manawatu Trot Handicap (saddle) ; 3 miles — Wild Rose 1, St James 2, Awahuri '6. Dividend, £1 17s. Pony Trot (harness) ; 2 miles — Silver Grey 1, Eric 2. Wharerangi 3. Won easily. Dividend, £2 12s. Summer Trot (harness) ; 3 milos — Sonny 1. Sandfly 2, Wild Rose 3. Won by four lengths. Dividend, £9 11s. Pony Trot (saddle) ; 2 miles— Eric 1, Chips 2, Roseleaf 3. Won easily by four lengths. Dividend, £2 4s. Electric Trot (saddle) ; 1 mile— Marion 1, St. James 2, Eric 3. Won by half a dozen lengths. Dividend, £3 10s.
