ON WEDNESDAY, January Ist, 1596, the usual 4.40 p.m. train Wan gan ui to Palmerston will be delayed till 5.5 p.m. and will run 25 minutes later than usual throughout. The usual 3.15 p.m. train from Marton to Mangaonoho (stopping at intermediate stations if required) connects with trains from Palaierston and Wanganui. FRIENDLY SOCIETY'S PICNIC AT WESTOE ESTATE. An Excursion Train will leave Palmerston at 9 a.m. for Greatford ; returning from picnic ground at 4.40 p.m. for Palmerston, stopping at intermediate stations if required.
