After lunch, Wellington, requiring 269 to win, begun tbeir second innings, but a rot set in from the start and continued throughout the innings, the whole being dismissed in 1\ hours for 42, of which C. The combined team scored 170 runs, and Manawatu 98 in their first innings and 83 in their second ; total, 171 runs. The principal scorers were : Napier— Gore 43, Hawke 24, Cato 21 ; Manawatu— F. Barlow 41 and 25, Wilson 25.
