A Warship Nearly Founders.
_ . — o (Per Piress Association.) London, December 26. H.M.S. Rupert, while on her voyage to Gibraltar, shipped enormous seas owing to the turret flaps being defective, and the stokers were working knee deep in water. The pumps became choked with coal dnst'i, and the vessel had a narrow escape from foundering. She will return to Plymouth to effect repairs.
