PALMERSTON SUMMER MEETING.
Splendid weather favored the annual Summer Meeting of the Manawatu Racing Club, and there was a record attendance, visitors being present from all parts of the island. Sport was decidedly good throughout, the fields being large, speculation brisk and tbe finishes generally exciting. A special meed of praise is due to Mr Miles, tbe courteous and obliging Secretary.
