♦ FATAL COLLIERY EXPLOSION. 43 LIVES LOST. LIVE STOCK TRADE. (Per Press Association.) New Youk, Dec. 22. An explosion at the Raleigh Colliery, Carolina, caused the death of 43 miners. London, December 21. The Kauri Mining Corporation (Hauraki), which is to be issued in January, bas already been privately subscribed. Sarti, Elkineton's manager concerned in the recent robbery of silver ingots, was sentenced to three aud a half years. The Times states that the Government proposes to legislate in the direction of having foreign cattle killed at the port of landing.
