Rangiwahia Ratepayers' Association.
A meeting of representatives of the above Association was held in Rangiwahia on December 14th. Present — Messrs C. Fitton (in the chair), F. Pemberton, Stent, Handcock, and F. J. Bloomfield. Resolved, on the motion of Mr Stent, seconded by Mr Bloomfield, That Mr C. Fitton be appointed secretary and treasurer. Resolved, on the motion of Mr Pemberton, seconded by Mr Handcock, That Mr J. D. McGregor be appointed chairman for the ensuing year. With reference to Ivimbolfcon road, Mr F. Pemberton informed the Association that he had just received a communication from Mr Stevens, M.H.R., with regard to the same, which would be attended to at an early date. Proposed by Mr Pemberton, seconded by Mr Bloomfield, and carried, That the Secretary write to Cr Homer, drawing his attention to the fact that the northeast portion of the Hautapu riding draws its supplies over the Kimbolton road, without contributing towards the maintainence of the same ; also, that he be asked to move, during the next sitting of the Kiwitea County Council, That tenders be called for filling in ruts]and clearout drains alongside road on the fiat from Beef Creek northward. The ratepayers' roll was duly scrutinized, and the obtaining of additional signatures apportioned among members of the Association. It was decided that the Association hold regular monthly meetings. The usual yote of thanks to tbe chairman terminated the meeting.
