Oaks, and is sister to Dagmar (winner Maribyrnong Plate), half sister to Lantern (winner V.R.C Derby and Melbourne Cup), also to Bude Light and My Dream (winner V.R.C Oaks). St Leger, sire of Handsome Jack, is now standing at a fee of 30 guineas, and is at the head of winning stallions for season 1893. his stock winning L 6.250. St Jjeger's sire, Doncaster, was sold in England for L 14.000. Robinson Crusoe and Onyx are fall brother and sister, and Onyx is dam of Nordenfeldt. Stock got by Handsome Jack in Auckland show a great deal of quality. Handsome Jack stands Id hands 2f inches, and comes from a great family, and his fee (5 guineas) is very moderate for thoroughbred mares. Half-bred marcs and poniea taken at a reasonable reduction.
