GLADSTONE'S OPINIONS. (Per Press Association.) S.t, Petersburg, Dec. If. Eighteen thousand Armenians who to,ok refuge in Russian territory have \)een ordered to return to Anatolia. London, December 17. Mr Qladstone, in a letter to Mr Chauncey Pepe\y, the well-known American politician declining the visit to Chicago in aid of the fund which is being raised to assist the Armenians, states that the hand writing on the wall has visibly warned another despot of an impending crash of his impious and iniquitous Government. Constantinople. Dec. 17. The Young Turkish Party have posted placards throughout Constantinople stating that absolute government is ruining Turkey, and urging the Ulemas, the army and the government officials to unite andoverthrow despotism.
