The Ashantee War.
A GREAT BATTLE FOUGHT. (Per Press Association.) London, December 16. Owing to their refusal to help him King Prempeh of Ashantee fought the Adansis, south of Coomassie, and there was great slaughter. The natives attacked traders' caravans returning to Eildoma, and killed a thousand, only two hundred escaped.
