The Recent Domestic Tragedy-
(Per Press Association.) Sydney, This Day. At tbe inquest in connection with the Guilford tragedy the coroner's jury re turned a verdict of wilful murder against the wife. The evidence showed there were no signs of a struggle, and deceased must have been strack while asleep. Several witnesses deposed that the accused was a confirmed drunkard, and that she was drunk on Saturday when her husband borrowed some nails from his employer to nail up the door of the house. When he asked for tbe nails he remarked that his wife was in such a terrible condition he wanted to keep her from making a show of him. The coroner advised tbe jury to return a verdict of murder. All the evidence, except that of accused, pointed unanimously to the fact that the fatal blow must have been struck while Trenchard was asleep.
