Wool Sales.
1 Per Press Association! London, December 4. The wool market is animated, though there is no change in price. At the wool sales a large catalogue and a good selection of the new clip were offered, the latter selling particularly well.
The following London cablegram, dated 4th instant, has been received by tbe N.Z.L. and M.A.Co. -.—Wool— Since close of last sales greasy and scoured merino medium and inferior, fine greasy, washed, scoured, and medium greasy crossbred are par to £d per lb lower, also medium washed, scoured and coarse washed and scoured crossbred ; greasy super and medium and inferior merino lambs are par to £d per lb higher ; slipe crossbred has declined £d per lb ; other descriptions unchanged. Total quantity catalogued to date is 56,000 bales. Total quantity withdrawn to date is j 5000 bales. Messrs Murray, Roberts, and Co. have received tbe following wool market cablegram from their London house, Messrs Sanderson, Murray, and Co., dated 3rd December : — At the wool sales the competition is good. Good greasy combing and scoured merino have ad- | vanced a shade ; for crossbreds tbe market is weaker, and for faulty descriptions it is very weak. The first wool sale of the season opens to-day at the offices of the N.Z. L. and and M.A. Company in Wellington.
