ADVANCES TO SETTLERS. MONEY TO LEND in sums of not less than £25, and not more to any one applicant than £2500, on the security of the first mortgage of lands in New Zealand of the classes of which particulars can be obtained from any Postmaster in the Colony. The value of the security for a loan is the price which the property may be estimated to fetch at auction, and no loan can exceed half the value where the security is an eligible leasehold interest, or three-fifths of the value when an eligible freehold. Interest, 5 per cent, per annum, payable half-yearly, with 1 per cent, per annum in repayment of the loan. The borrower may at any time wholly repay the amount owing of loan, or partly, in sums of not less than JCS each.
