It is rumoured that Mr W. Rathbone is about to retire as a racing owner from the turf, although it is still his intention to breed on a small scale at Waipawa. Merganser, Blarney, and other good horses are owned by this straight-going sport and his loss to the turf will be keenly felt. HAWKE'S BAY MEETING. (Per Press Association.) Napier, Dec. 4.
