(By Mail Steamer.) (Pe* Press Association.) John Henry De La Poer, fifth Marquis of Waterford, committed suicide, accord- " ing to a despatch from London of Oct . 23rd, by shooting himself in ihe head with a revolver. The Marquis was fonnd on the floor of his room at 7.80 on the morning of the 23rd, lying — a pool of blood, and the top of ni s head blown off. He had been seen but a few minutes previously, emerging from his . library, with a cigar ette' m his mouth. He seemed in his usual condition. It is now suggested that the fowling piece which was found on the floor near himwas discharged accidentally. Ten years ago the Marquis met with a severe fall in tbe hunting field, and had since heen an invalid. The jury returned a verdict that he committed suicide while a fit of temporary insanity.
