Wellington Markets.

The N.Z.L. and M. Company report :— Sheepskins. — Transactions during the week have been satisfactory. We have no change in prices to report, quotations being : — Prime full-woolled crossbreds, s£d to 51] d ; medium to good, 4M to sd ; dead and faulty, cHd to 4sd ; inferior and broken, 2d to 3£d per lb ; green pelts, 6d to 8d each. Hides. — We have done a good business in all descriptions during the week at pi-ices on a level with out last quotations, viz. :— Extra stout ox, 4d to 4£d ; medium, 3d to 3£d ; light, 2£d to 2*{d ; green cowhides , 2fd to 3d ; calfskins, 3Jd per lb. Tallow. A fairly good supply ia now coming forward, and meets with ready sale at prices last quoted, viz. : — Prime mutton, £17 103 to L 1 8; mixed and medium, £16 IQ3 to Ll7 ; inferior and badly rendered, Lls to Ll6 per ton ; rough fat, lid per lb. Frozen Meat.— Since our last report this market has suffered a further decline of ftd to |d per lb. Wellington mutton being quoted by our London office at iJJd per lb. Hemp.— Transactions in the London market have been, and still are, much restricted. During the past two or three days we have had a few enquiries for small parcels for shipment South, but buyers show no inclination to operate above those prices lately ruling. Fungus. — The demand for clean dry parcels still remains active at 3£d per lb. Potatoes.— Heavy consignments have arrived during the week, which have had the effect of glutting the market, and in consequence prices have receded Is to 2s percwt. _
