(Per Press Association) Napier, This Day. A yorfng man named J. Lawrie was drowned in a river near Hastings yesterday, while bathing. Timaru, Bee. 1. A man named McNaughton, farmer and drover, of Winchester, who came to town yesterday, went to bathe in the tea, £nd when he did not return it was sup-* posed he had met and gone with his brother.' A lot of McNaughton's latters, &c, wera in the pockets, bnt ie is said that ih«y were not in the pockets when tho clothes were found. Dunedin, Dec. 1. John McKenzie, a miner, living at a place called Coolgardie, near Alexandra, bap beeri found dead in hia hut. He had beeu in tyd health for 1 some tune gast.
