Fire in Wellington.
I Per Press Association! Wellington, Dec. 1. A fire broke put last night at about 11 o'clock in Plimmer's Block, at the s,quth end of Willis street, which contains Barrett's Hotel and other buildings. The fire originated in the upstairs of Law- : son's auction mart, formerly Bodling's : refreshment room, and about £200 . worth of damage was done to the building. Goods worth £100 were destroyed, but the furniture in the auction room . was saved, though damaged by water. The loss on the goods is estimated at ] £250, partly covered. Plimmer has a - line of £3000 on the buildings, distri- 1 huted oyer various offices. 1
