MANCHESTER ROAD BOARDNOTICE is hereby given that the following Special Order was proposed at a meeting of the Manchester Road Board held on Wednesday, 27th November, 1895, and it is proposed to confirm the same at a meeting of the above Board to be held on Saturday, the 4th day of January, 1896 :— Proposed Special Order : That this Board (under the provisions of " The Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1686," and by vir- " tue of a Warrant issued under the hand of His Excellency the Governor of New Zealand, dated 22* id January, 1890, authorising the Rangitikei County Council to charge the Manchester Road Board with one-third of the cost of managing and maintaining the Onepuhi Bridge over the Rangitikei River at Onepuhi) borrow the sum of £957 for the purpose of providing one-third of the cost of repairing the said bridge and protective works thereto in accordance with the above - mentioned Warrant ; and that a Special Rate of fiftieth of a penny in the £ be mUde upon the rateable value of the whole of the rateable property (Crown and Native lands occupied by Native owners excepted) within the Manchester Road District for the purpose of paying the interest on the above Loan of £957, to be borrowed under " The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886 ; " such rate to be annually recurring for 26 years and payable in equal instalments at the Board's office on the first days of April and October in each year.
