Wellington Land Board.

The ordinary meeting of the above ] was held on Thursday. Present — Messrs W. A. Fitzberbert (in the chair), T. W. Fisher and A. W. Hogg. The Commissioner and, Fred Pirani, M.H.R., were present. T he following titles were granted: — A. Stewart, section 12, block XII, Ongo ; • M. Cox, section 38, block XI, do ; T. I Thomson, section 29, block XV, Apiti. Capitalisations approved — J. Farrow, section 2, block X, Tararua ; E. Eoper, section 47, block IV, Ongo. , Surrenders accepted- J. Farrow, section 29, block IV, Umutoi. A report was received from the ranger on the proposed transfer of part of Cf. Say well's section 37, block IV, Apiti, and it was resolved not to approve of the transfer. J. Lundon's application to lease reserve section 8(5, Birmingham, was granted at 15s per acre. It was resolved to date the leaseholds and improvements for the Marton No. 3, Rising Sun, and Gladstoue Association from Ist January, 1896. No action to be taken in reference to section 14, block IX, Apiti, as there is l no power to issue the titie. The transfer of section 17, block V., Aohanga, from R. Hammond to "W. Eager was refused. It was decided to make further enquiries in reference to G. Hickford's application to transfer section 8, block 1., Umutoi. The Board adjourned to December 19th. — Standard.
