The Harper Case.

(Per Press Association.) Chbistchurch, Nov. 24. At a meeting of the Progressive Liberal Association a letter in reply to one from the Association in reference to the trial of Leonard Harper, was received from the Justice Department. It stated the matter of a special jury was in the gole discretion of the judge. The application made on Harper's behalf was opposed by the Crown without effect. The granting of a change of venue was also a matter for the sole discretion of the judge. The Association resolved to set up a committee of observation to watch proceedings in the case.
