(Per Press Association.) Wellington, Novr. 22. Michael Davitt arrived this afternoon and was met by Sir P. Buckley, the Hoa Mr Blake, Archbishop Heawood, Dr Grace, Bon Mr McCullough, M.L.C. and other leading men. Later in the day the formal welcome was tendered to him at the Occidental Hotel. It was inten. ded to present him with a parse of sorereigns, bat he declined. The representatives present were the National Fede« ration Labor Bodies, Women's Associa* tion, etc. The speeches were of the briefest description and were confined to expressions of welcome. He lectures to-night and leaves for Napier on Monday. »^ ■
