CHEESE FACTORIES.

The sheep farmers are rejoicing over the increased prices now obtainable for their wool, and it would appear that the dairy farmers are also to have their turn. We learn that tbe Agricultural Department has received inspiriting information in connection with the cheese market. Advice has been received from

! Canada that the output in that country ! is short and as a natural consequence prices are firm, -while there is an upward tendency in the market. It is assumed that many of the cheese factories have gone in for early butter making, so that while one result has been to check the prices recently rating for batter, another effect is that tbe colonial cheese maker is likely to receive a benefit from the lessened output of cheese. The Hawera Star reports that the improved prospects have already had an effect on prices in the colony. Oar readers in Apiti will rejoice at this good news, which will certainly help the local factory very materially.
