In committee in the Legislative Assembly new clauses were inserted in the Factory Bill, providing that no one employed in any factory or workshop receive less than 2s 6d per week ; preventing the sale of meat on Sundays ; providing for a weekly half -holiday for j every shop assistant ; also bringing j waitresses in restaurants, coffee palaces, and fish shops, under the operation of the Bill. _
