New Zealand is more inquired after at £15 to £16 for good fair Wellington. Wheat— The month of September was very dry, and much warmer than usual, and the harvest has been mostly concluded during the favorable weather. The supplies of English wheat are very moderate and prices are rather firmer. Australian is quoted at 27s 6d to 28s for old, and 35s to 26s for new crop, per 4961bs ex warehonse. New Zealand is nominally the same as in our last report. New Zealand oats are also unchanged and beans are steady at our previous quotation. Cocksfoot— Prices have weakened under the influence of free offerings of American seed, and the market is relatively quieter than it usually is at this time of the year. Quotations are 44s to 45s for 151bs seed and 48s to 62s 16/181 b. Cowgrass— Reports on the Home and Continental crops are rather conflicting the last accounts being of a more sanguine character of large crops and probably lower values. Some good New Zealand has been sold at 70s c.i.f. London, but the trade so far has been on a very small scale.
