THE " SCOUR " IN CALVES. liS past years ifc was calculated that in the Taranaki district alone, 10,000 calves died annually from the complaiot known as " Scour." Two years ogo Mr W. A. Ellis, who bad a long training in England as a Veterinary Druggist, was asked by the Taranaki dairy farmers to provide them with a safe and sure remedy for the " Scour." He at once prepared an old-fashioned well- known English remedy now used for the past fifty years by some of the leading breeders at Home. This he introduced as his (now celebrated) Scour Drench for Calves. The result was surprising. Almost every farmer in Tara* naki took them tip, with the result that last year not more than 500 calyes died in the district, an amazing reduction in the death rate of former years, to be still further reduced thia coming season.
