Case o f Alle ged Dummyism.

(Per Press Association .1 Invercabgill, Nov. 12. A case of alleged dumnayism was before the Land Board to-day. The ranger reported regarding a section at Centre Hill, granted to Alexander Smith for cash, that he found John B. Sebastien had paid, or partly paid, for the improvements, and Smith was simply a dummy. Sebastien was living in a house on the section and grazing stock there. It was recommended that application for a title be refused, and Smith called upon to show cause why the section, on which the improvements are valued at iAJU, should not revert to the Crown. Council for Smith and Sebastien stated that the latter lent Smith several sums of money without security, and he being unable to comply with the conditions of repayment handed it over to Sebasfcein The inquiry was adjourned owing to the absence of the Chief Commissioner. _
