The Powers have peremptorily demanded of the Porte to terminate anarchy, otherwise they will arrange concerted steps with Austria. Germany and Italy, who claim equal rights with Great Britain, Russia and France, in the settlement of the matter. A manifesto has been issued by the Young Turkish Party, which appeals to the natives to assist in the reform of the Empire, and not in regard to race or religion. It is understood that the British Government are taking up a firm attitude on the question.
