BANK OF AUSTRALASIA DIVIDEND. £ (Per Press Association.) Adelaide, Novr. 6. Lynch, the murderer, was executed today, death being instantaneous. He made a full confession and said the punishment was deserved. This Day. In the Legislative Assembly last night the State Advances Bill passed its final stages. Sydney, Novr. 6. Zimmerman left for Brisbane to compete at the cycling carnival there. During his stay here be did a lot of training and greatly improved in health and form. The Seaman's Union state that owners of one of the coastal steamers have granted an advance of £1 per month to the seaman, and it is also stated that the stewards and cooks on board several of the A.U.S.N. Company *B vessels have been voluntarily offered increased rates. Latest reports Btate that the fire in Block 10 has been subdued, and the mine is clear. Efforts are now being directed to suppress the affected parts in Block 11. Melbourne, Novr. 6. The wheat market is unsettled. Sales are reported at from 4s to 4s 2d. The report of the Bank of Australasia recommends a dividend of 5 per cent on preference shares, and to carry forward a sum of £9500. This Day. At a caucus of the Opposition party the Hon Sir J. Mclntyre was chosen leader to succeed Sir J. B. Patterson. At a meeting of the National Bank of Australasia the chairman said since 1893 the liabilities had been reduced by £3,040,000. There were signs of returning prosperity, and the directors hoped soon to be able to pay a dividend to ordinary shareholders.
