The Dean Case.
(Per Press Association.) . Sydney, Nov. 5. In the Dean conspiracy case to-day Goddard, one of the Dean defence committee, gave evidence to the effect that when the chemist was being examined he passed a note to Meagher asking the latter to put the question to Smith as to whether he had sold poison to Dean. Meagher tore up the note and the question was never put.
