The Cabinet and the Upper House.
Ministers were in Cabinet all day yesterday, and got through much business. In view of the acceptance of the vacant Wellington Judgesbip by Sir Patrick Buckley, the question of Minis terial representation in the Conncil was considered. It is stated that the. Hon. T. Kelly will be appointed to the Executive. Mr Kelly took charge of the .Government business in the closing hours of the session. It is also, rumoured that the Hon. Mr Montgomery has intimated to the Premier that pressure of private business will prevent him from attending Cabinet meeting during tho recess. If that is correct, is stated the Hon. W. G. Waiker : will $c' selected as that gentleman's successor in^^ihe P^^tiTe
